Sprunggelenk

Three sections are distinguished for the foot: the Forefoot, the Metatarsus and the ankle and footThe ankle is the link between the leg and the foot. A distinction is made between the upper and lower ankle. Since the ankle is subject to great stress ligament injuries or even fractures (ankle fracture, ankle dislocation fracture) are common. If injuries to the ligaments or bone structure do not heal properly, chronic foot instability is often the result. Also congenital or acquired deformities caused by injury can lead to problems in the foot and ankle. In addition, injuries to the Achilles tendon and Arthrosis are common problems in the foot and ankle area.
